HELPING PEOPLE WITH I/DD TO
LIVE EMPOWERED & PREPARED
Struggling with how to maintain and develop your son or daughter's housing and community program? LE&P offers dedicated oversight to support both housing and community integration.
Gain peace of mind knowing that on-call support will be there for you when it matters most.

Focus of Living Empowered & Prepared (LE&P)
At LE&P, the mission is to provide meaningful oversight and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), focusing on their residential living, community involvement, daily routines, and more.
It is understood that many parents worry about who will continue to oversee, support and advocate for their adult child when they are no longer able to. My goal is to offer peace of mind by stepping into that role with care, consistency, and compassion.
Clients can start with any combination of services that best fit their needs, and I'll be happy to adjust and expand support over time to ensure a truly personalized experience.
While Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs) offer essential services, there are still important gaps that need attention. For example, while an FI might train someone on using a system or tool, I focus on real-world skills—like how to interact and respond to the individual in a variety of everyday situations.
At LE&P, the oversight goes beyond paperwork and checklists. I work to bridge gaps, strengthen each individual’s program, and support long-term growth. Most importantly, I strive to build genuine, trusting relationships—because being a dependable, friendly presence matters just as much as being a skilled professional.
Notice: For now, I’m limiting enrollment to just 12 clients so I can provide focused, personalized care and help build a strong, connected community.
About Thomas Nguyen
I began his journey in the field while studying in the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program and working at Heritage Christian Services (HCS). At HCS, I spent about two years as a Recreational Assistant, supporting individuals with a wide range of intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). During that time, I made the decision to leave the PTA program to focus full-time on working with one individual (pictured above), through a different agency. Fast forward to today—I have been working with him for over 10 years. Along the way, I’ve noticed key gaps between the needs of individuals with I/DD and the support services available to them. While those services can be incredibly valuable, I have become passionate about helping people navigate them more effectively. My goal is to help individuals to better understand and utilize the support around them so they can live more fulfilling, confident, and personalized lives. Some of my hobbies include biking, nature walks, sports, working out, cooking, and exploring new foods. When shared interests line up, I sometimes participate in these activities with the individual with I/DD outside of work, creating fun and meaningful experiences.
